Intercity FC was founded in 1999 in the Manhyia community of AshTown, Kumasi, through the vision and determination of Cosmos Stephen Kwabena Adjei. Motivated by a passion for football and youth empowerment, he sought to create a structured platform to identify and nurture young talent within the community.

The club’s earliest foundation began with a small but determined group of six young boys who formed the first squad.
